Your Task

Task Sheet

In this unit, you will develop your ability to SYNTHESIZE information from various sources and perspectives.

  • This means that in addition to the usual library resources, you will be able to use AI tools such as Flint, Perplexity, and ChatGPT to learn as much as you can about the issue and the opposing views about it.
  • Throughout the unit you will be asked to show what you have learned in decidedly "non-tech" ways.
  • Be aware that AI tools will not be available to you as you get further along in the process!

A second skill you will develop is THINKING CRITICALLY.  

  • All AI output should be viewed with skepticism. In class, you may be asked to  practice disagreeing with AI outputs or fact-checking them. We must continuously examine anything and everything generated by AI tools for bias and inaccuracy.
